The dissertation investigates the problem of selected sociolinguistic aspects of communication in the framework of Audiovisual Translation. The main focus is on non-standard speech representation (speech impediments, sociolects, slang) in the target text in the context of: the value of sociolinguistic information, translation strategies and equivalence.
